Course Aims:
To provide thorough theory and practical training in operating the 360 excavator, to enable you to pass the theory and practical assessments.

Training is available to both novices and experienced operators.

Duration of course:
Novice: 2-5 Days
Intermediate: 2 Days
Experienced: 1 Day refresher

Who should attend?
Anyone who operates any Plant machinery.

On completion of course:
5 year LANTRA card and certificate 

Minimum age:
16

Venue:

  • We have a sight situated in the Ribble Valley ideally suited for carrying out this course
  • Equipment is provided
  • Welfare facilities available
  • Indoor space for completing theory aspects of the course is available
  • Risk assessments are completed

PPE:

  • Please provide
  • Suitable head protection
  • Suitable eye protection
  • Suitable work clothes including wet weather
  • Gloves
  • Suitable work boots including steel toe protection
  • High Visibility clothing

Assessment:

  • Theory assessment
  • 30 mandatory mutiple choice questions (MCQs) in 45 minutes, pass mark is 80%
  • Practical assessment
  • Travel the machine on-site
  • Straight trenches
  • Changing the bucket
  • Loading a vehicle

  • Excavate below ground level on a variety of excavations in different ground types
  • Place spoil into various sizes of vehicles
  • Grade, spread and level different types of terrain
  • Remove and re-attach buckets
  • Place the excavator in the safe park position
  • Explain the loading and unloading procedures on and off a transporter
